PROMOTION DESCRIPTION:
Curacao and Beauty Creations Prize Giveaway (the “Sweepstakes”) begins on or about February 10th, 2024 at 12:00:01 a.m. Pacific Time ("PT") and ends on February 14th, 2024 at 11:59:59 p.m. PT (the “Promotion Period”). Entry in the Sweepstakes does not constitute entry into any other promotion, contest or sweepstakes. By participating in the Sweepstakes, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Curacao, 1605 W. Olympic Blvd. Suite 600, Los Angeles, CA 90015 (“Sponsor”), which shall be final and binding in all respects.
ELIGIBILITY:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Only legal U.S. residents who are eighteen (18) years of age or older and reside in California, Arizona or Nevada are eligible to enter. Sponsor, Beauty Creations, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, retailers, sales representatives, advertising and promotion agencies and each of their respective officers, directors, members, and employees (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”) and the immediate family members, and/or those living in the same household of each, are ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes or win a prize. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law.
HOW TO ENTER:
1. IN-STORE ENTRY AT THE SOUTH GATE EVENT:
Eligible participants wishing to enter the sweepstakes may do so by attending the designated event at South Gate on Saturday, February 10th, between the hours of 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Participants must be present at the time of the winner announcement to qualify for entry. Upon attendance, participants shall approach the designated event personnel for assistance with the registration process.
2. SMS ENTRY:
Alternatively, eligible participants may enter the sweepstakes via SMS by sending the keyword "BEAUTY" to the number 90997. This entry method must be completed by 11:59 PM on February 14, 2024, to be considered valid. Participants are hereby notified that standard data and messaging rates may apply according to their individual mobile service agreements. This SMS entry method is intended to provide a convenient alternative for participants to submit their entry without the necessity of physical attendance.
WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION:
At the end of the Promotion Period, the prize winners will be selected by Curacao sweepstakes managing agent, from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Winners will be randomly selected with each submission receiving one (1) entry. The potential prize winners will be notified by SMS, using the contact information provided or collected at the time of entry, on or around February 23, 2024. The Promotion Entities shall have no liability for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted, or not received by a potential winner for any reason. If, despite reasonable efforts, a potential winner does not respond within forty-eight (48) hours of the first notification attempt, or if the prize or prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable to such potential winner, such potential winner will forfeit his or her prize. If any potential prize winner is found to be ineligible, or if he or she has not complied with these Official Rules or declines the prize for any reason prior to award, such potential prize winner will be disqualified.
PRIZES/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE:
PRIZE PACKAGE: There are two distinct prizes available, one for the in-store giveaway and one for participants entering via SMS, with each prize consisting of a gift box of beauty items. Each gift box is valued at over $350.00 (approximate retail value). In total, two (2) gift boxes will be awarded: one (1) to an in-store event participant and one (1) to an SMS entry participant. The SMS entry participant will receive the prize by standard shipment to a valid U.S. mailing address, to be provided by the SMS entry participant upon contact by Curacao.
PRIZE CONDITIONS:
No cash alternative or prize substitutions will be allowed, except Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize(s) of comparable value if a prize listed, or any portion thereof, is unavailable for any reason. Prize winners shall be solely responsible for all federal, state and/or local taxes, and the reporting consequences thereof, and for any other fees or costs associated with the applicable prize.
GENERAL:
Acceptance of a prize constitutes prize winner’s permission for Sponsor and its designees to use prize winner’s name, photograph, likeness, voice, biographical information, statements and address (city and state) for advertising and/or publicity purposes worldwide and in all forms of media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without further compensation.
GOVERNING LAW/JURISDICTION:
ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF ENTRANTS OR SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTERNAL LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO ANY CHOICE OF LAW OR CONFLICT OF LAW RULES OR PROVISIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE APPLICATION OF ANY OTHER STATE’S LAWS.
WINNER LIST:
Any legally required winner list may be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Curacao Sweepstakes 2024, Attn: Advertising & Marketing Department, 1605 W. Olympic Blvd. Suite 600, Los Angeles, CA 90015. All such requests must be received within six (6) weeks after the end of the Promotion Period.
